Reporting a scam
If you have had a call, text or email asking you to pay for a TV licence or claiming you are owed a refund, be careful. TV Licensing will never ask for your bank details by email or text.
Report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040, or at actionfraud.police.uk.
And never pay anyone to cancel your licence for you. It is free, and it takes five minutes.
